Montréal 2017

In the south west of the canadian province Québec is the WorldMUN-host city 2017 located. With about 1 700 000 inhabitants and an area of 364km² Montréal, „the City of Festivals“, can call itself the second largest city of Canada.


From March 13. to March 17. five delegates of the Friedrich-Schiller-Univercity and their faculty advisor will participate in the Harvard World Model United Nations-Conferences and represent Sierra Leone in a city which is characterized by culture, history, economy and politics; a city, which connects romantically french charme and modern innovative buildings. This is one of the reasons why the unique Montréal is perfectly qualified to host this yearly event. But the cultural capital of CaMontréal2nada and UNESCO City of Design cannot offer only a breathtaking architecture and cityscape with buildings like Notre-Dame de Montréal or the Botanical Garden Montréal, it also impresses with vibrant events (including the largest international jazz festival in the world). There couldn’t be a more appropriate city to fulfil cultural exchange and international enmeshment on the highest level.

Five days of speeches, negotiation and getting in contact with other delegates will expect more than 2 000 students of more than 120 countries from all over the world. Accompanied of an interesting events in the evenings, which promote the meetings of delegates, the conferences will be proceed daily in the Palais des congrès de Montréal, known as one of „the most connected and beautiful conference centers in existence“.
